Profile: Tom Hogan

“Train hard, swim and keep your eyes on the water”. These are the sage words of Tom Hogan, lifelong lifeguard, lifeguard trainer, and committed competitor. One of Tom’s first jobs was lifeguarding in Palm Beach, FL at age 19 for five dollars a week. Tom competed in the Lifeguard World Championship twice and won gold for his age group in Run, Swim, Run and Long Paddle. He currently serves as a lifeguard trainer for the City of Lake Worth, FL. Lifeguard magazine salutes Tom Hogan.
