ANOTHER LIFEGUARD EMERGES WINNER OF MISS KENTUCKY USA

Kentucky will no longer be known primarily for their famous Kentucky Fried Chicken, as a new rave seems to have become a recurrent theme: Lifeguard Models.

In 2014 Destin Kincer represented her hometown of Whitesburg, Kentucky in the Miss USA competition and this year 2016 Kyle Hornback has followed suit representing Louisville, Kentucky.

Kentucky is however not the only thing Destin Kincer and Kyle Hornback have in common, these successful and beautiful women are also lifeguards. Dressed in a brilliant red dress, an outfit that screams “lifeguard”, Miss Kyle Hornback received her Miss Kentucky USA crown from her predecessor Katie George. With a charming smile capable of drowning anyone (Thankfully, She’s a lifeguard, so no worries) Kyle Hornback stood out from all other 23 contestants, totally mesmerizing the audience.

Kyle Hornback who is, at this time, a full time law student and lifeguard shared a picture moment with her family shortly after being crowned winner. Social media couldn’t wait to love up her instagram and twitter uploads to that effect.

She said in an appreciation message “This is just a small portion of what I refer to as the greatest support system in the world. There are too many people to thank; I am overwhelmed by the love and encouragement that I have received from so many people. I could never do this on my own. Any other night with a different set of judges, the outcome could have been completely different. I am so blessed and honored that the Lord’s hand was in my favor and I was chosen to represent the state of Kentucky. I am beyond excited to see where this journey takes me.#MissKentuckyUSA”

Miss Kyle Hornback had previously contested for Miss COED 2016 and while she didn’t emerge as the winner, she remained resilient and now has an even bigger prize ahead of her. Her tenacity, humility and willingness to succeed is evidently a byproduct of her training as a lifeguard. It goes without saying that Kyle Hornback is a pride to lifeguards and lifeguard models everywhere.

She has currently left for Las Vegas in pursuit of the Miss USA 2016 crown. In her own words…

“And the moment we’ve all been waiting for…..I’M OFF TO VEGAS BABY!!! It feels like a dream to finally be headed to do what I’ve been preparing to do for so long. I feel confident, blessed, and ready. So many people have helped me get to where I am now and I’ve never felt more encouraged and uplifted.
