Florida Lifeguards Go For a Skwim!
|Florida Lifeguards Go For a Skwim!
The exciting new water sports game Skwim™ was on full display this past few weeks throughout the state of Florida. Aquatic Facilities such as the Cocoa Beach Aquatic Center and Bass Park Pool in Fort Lauderdale held Skwim events as a part of their lifeguard in service training and swim team practices. Skwim founder and Skwim International President Kevin McCarthy reported to Lifeguard Times that the new water game is taking off nationwide and has become very popular with Florida Lifeguards and swim teams alike. “Skwim is fun for the entire family” stated McCarthy when asked about the game’s widespread appeal. Other Florida facilities that Skwim visited recently are the Palm Bay Aquatic Center, the International Swimming Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale, and the Gifford Aquatic Center in Vero Beach.
