Near Drowning Lori Wilson Park Cocoa Beach CPR In Progress

Just now, in front of Lifeguard Tower 9 at Lori Wilson Park, Cocoa Beach, Florida a female swimmer nearly drowned after possibly fainting in the surf. As of yet it is unknown as to why she had fainted.  The Lifeguard brought the victim to the lifeguard tower and performed CPR until ambulance personnel arrived and took over. The swimmer is currently conscious and in route to an area hospital. Her current condition unknown.  Stay tuned for breaking details.
