The nomination deadline for the inaugural USLA Ben Carlson Lifeguard of the Year Award is August 10th. This prestigious award honors lifeguards who demonstrate outstanding dedication, skill, and a profound love for open waters.

Nominees Must:

• Be employed by a USLA nationally certified open water agency
• Have at least 2 years of lifeguarding experience
• Hold a non-management lifeguard position
• Excel in at least THREE categories of excellence:
  • Leadership/Mentorship
  • Integrity and Honesty
  • Teamwork and Reliability
  • Effective Communication
  • Commitment to Professional Development
  • Strong Work Ethic
